A few months ago I spent a special day documenting life at St John's Diocesan School for Girls (Pietermaritzburg, KZN South Africa). What a lovely, lovely school. It really feels like a family right from Grade RR to Grade 12. One of it's strengths is actually in it's smallness. In fact, their motto is: "Small school. Big heart". The girls all know each other, and the genuine love between them can't be manufactured. The hugs and laughter in these pics were so easy to capture. I felt like a fly on the wall many times as I watched (and photographed) the girls' friendships shining out of them! The high school girls have amazing rapport with their teachers, and the juniors adore their teachers like second moms. That goes for the boarding house staff too. To all those who work at St John's D.S.G. : Keep doing what you do. I was greatly impressed by this school. Here are some of my personal favourite moments from the day.
